The krita5.xmlgui file will only be present in the resource folder if the toolbars have been modified by the user. Since I wanted to use the software and had paid for it, and since Steam itself is free, I then, for better or worse, first installed Steam and then this software. I had bought a small software for not quite €4, which I thought I could download and install from the manufacturer, but after the purchase I was told that I could now download and unlock this software on Steam with the purchased license. I’ll probably have the money saved up for it in February, unless something unforeseen comes up again. Whether Krita on Steam also uses the path ~\AppData\Roaming\krita, I would guess that Steam bends this directory into its own directory tree, without being able to say with conclusive certainty.īut slowly but surely the desire to install Krita via Steam is maturing in me, just to be able to provide support for versions installed via this platform, and to be able to answer questions like yours.
